周四, 12月7日, 十大菠菜台子学生, in collaboration with the Detroit Institute of Music Education (DIME), will host a special holiday-themed open mic event from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. 在密歇根州沃伦的Dovetail咖啡馆.

Donations of used winter clothing — as well as monetary donations — will be accepted throughout the event and will benefit The Detroit Children’s Center, a Detroit-based nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of children and families.
The event will feature performances by multi-award winner Tosha欧文斯 — a highly sought after singer/songwriter whose unique style mixes Blues, 岩石, 放克和R&B — and two students from OU’s Music Industry Event Management course, Nathalie Ali and Ayanna Akua.

除了, the event will also feature more than an hour of round-robin style open mic performances of songs that are about the holidays or bettering the world. Sign-up for the open mic portion of the event begins at 6:30 p.m. The event is free to attend and all ages are welcome.
